1. Items from last meeting

Matt agredd to contact Alison Sherwin re progress on Victoria Bridge access and idea of making ha'penny bridge shared use.

Nigel is still to write to Andrew Haines at First Great Western re the station developments.

2. Cycling Summit

I reported on progress. We would welcome more help with the planning of this significant event.

3. Southgate

Following Malcolm and Tony's meeting with Southgate developers Multi last week, we now have plans of the site to comment on. Multi are open to our suggestions, providing their schedule isn't held up. Tony had prepared his comments on the plans and the following questions were raised at the meeting.

- Will it be possible to cycle to the cycle stands?
- Could have cycle parking in tunnels
- All parking near station should be covered
- Will there be times when during development when facilities are missing?
- Has Alison had input? If so we should be aware of what she has said.
- Are BANES on top of their bit?
- Are all pedestrian areas open to cycle use too (ie cyclists not criminalised)
- What divides the bus & rail stations? What is the cycle / pedestrian route?
- Problem running gauntlet of parked busses on Dorchester Street.
- Cycle access over footbridge behind new bus station.
- Make sure no problem with cycle stands near drains (eg for maintenance)
- No "Cyclists Dismount" signs

4. Membership

I have produced some leaflets we can put on bikes. Stephen has volunteered to colour print them.
We could have stickers for bikes / stands.

5. Web site sponsorship

We are looking for a sponsor for the web site. Our previous sponsorship brought in 140 but this has now come to an end. Please let us know if you have any suggestions.

Next meeting Monday 17th March at the Rummer
