New Funding for Adult Cycle Training

Life Cycle Adult Training

Bath Cycling Campaign has received funding to subsidise and promote cycle training for adults in BANES.

A grant of £5000 has been raised via a grant from Bath Car Share Club and match funding from BANES council. It means that the cost to the individual will be reduced from £30 to £5 per session.

We are aiming at adults who can ride a bike, but would like extra skills and confidence to allow them to make journeys on the road.

Bath Cycling Campaign is keen to promote cycle training for adults, because it is a great way for beginners, or returners to cycling to build their confidence. Training is provided on a one to one basis by a professional trainer and is tailored to the needs of the rider whatever their ability.

Participants must agree to respond to a questionnaire so that we can see how effective the funding is at encouraging people to cycle more.

We hope to launch the scheme at the end of March. Training will be provided by Life Cycle UK.

We would like to monitor some trainees through a session before the official launch. If you would like to know more, please contact Nigel on 01225 483223.

If you are interested in becoming a cycle instructor, please contact Life Cycle UK.
